This is the second half of a two-part article on repurposing your blog posts. If you have not yet read Part 1, you may be asking yourself, why should I reuse my blog posts?

If you're taking the time to create interesting, useful posts that attract the kinds of prospects that you seek, you may get more mileage out of that material. By reformatting your blog posts you may reach others who don't happen to read your blog.

Videographics

Lots of people are watching online video these days, so it might be a good idea to try to reach prospects that way.
You can take the information from your blog or infographic and transform it into a videographic, which is an animation that can enhance the quality of the information that you're presenting.

Getting Started

Like infographics, videographics can convey much of the same information that you communicate in your blog posts.

Your videographics can provide statistics as well as text that can convey useful information to your audience.

Transforming your infographics to video format will likely require the help of someone skilled in video production, especially in animation. A well animated video could cost thousands of dollars, depending on how sophisticated you want the editing, special effects and soundtrack to be. You could look for ways to cut costs by employing an intern, such as a student majoring in video production, to help you create videographics.

You'll probably want to consider uploading your video to YouTube. Once uploaded, you can share your video with other communities, both those that are part of YouTube as well as others. Tag your videos appropriately and you may get traffic from both YouTube and search engines.

On Camera

Let's say that you want to create videos but don't want to take the videographics route. You can also make simple videos with a basic camera and microphone. You could sit in front of the camera and energetically explain the contents of your blog post. It may be one of the easiest and quickest ways to transform your content to video.

There are a number of tutorials online that can teach you how to create a basic video, including this one on WikiHow.

Podcasts

You may be a regular listener of any of the thousands of podcasts available for download. They vary in length, subject matter and quality. Many who may not prefer reading articles are more apt to listen to a podcast, perhaps streamed to their car stereo. They can be a good listening alternative for those who must face a daily commute.

Getting Started

Like the other formats discussed here, podcasts are a useful format for those who want to convert their work to another media. Much of the material you create for your blog can be read aloud and recorded for a podcast, much the same way you'd create a YouTube video, only without the visual elements.

There are a number of online tutorials that will walk you through the steps of recording a podcast, including this one.

You can record your own voice for your podcast or recruit a friend to do it for you. Another alternative is to go to the many online sites that can connect you with freelance talent. You may be able to find a good voice actor at a reasonable rate who will record your podcast for you.

Webinars

If you're trying to reach qualified leads, one way to do it is by offering information or instruction that would be useful to your intended audience. Webinars are a good format for presenting information to interested parties. You can present a short course that participants can hear and view online, and you can record the event for others who weren't in attendance to experience.

Your blog posts can be the core idea for your webinar. Expand on your central theme and perhaps provide extra information that did not fit in your blog post. You can use charts, graphs and even video in your webinar to help illustrate your points.

You may want to schedule your webinars during lunchtime to help ensure maximum participation. Viewers can listen to your content and even participate by asking questions and commenting about the material, if you desire.

You might say that a webinar is like a slideshow presentation that people can watch on their computers, tablets and phones, and any other online device they may choose.

In some webinars, the presenters are visible on streamed video, and so are graphics and any other visual aids they are using. Other webinars may use audio communication only.

There are many online sources offering tutorial and tips on how to put on a webinar. You might also want to look at this article, which explains how to put on a free webinar using Google+.

In addition to information that you published on your blog, you can present others' points of view. Maybe you could interview others from your industry whom your viewers would be interested in hearing from. It would be especially good if you're able to arrange an interview with a high-profile guest, whose input to your webinar would attract more viewers.

You'll want to close your webinar by reminding the audience that they can get more information on the topic from you, and you can provide them with your contact information.

Now that you're aware of a number of repurposing option available to you, you're ready to begin formatting your blog posts for different media. You can reformat your blog posts for whitepapers, infographics, slideshows, videographics, live-action videos, podcasts and webinars.

The more varied your presentations, the more likely it is that you'll reach different people who might otherwise have been unavailable to you.
You need to create great blog content to attract an audience, but that's just one part of the equation. You've also got to market your content. When you reach out to others, using a variety of media, you're well on your way to doing that.
