If you were a business with ten or fewer employees, you were able to sign up for a free version of Google Apps, which included web-based tools, spreadsheet, word processor, e-mail and presentation tools.

To use those services, users will now have to pay $50 a year.  This is the same rate that larger businesses pay.

Businesses do receive a couple of extra services for their money though, including 24/7 support and a larger inbox.

Last year, according to an article on cnet.com, Google Apps added $1 billion to the company bottom line.
