Want to know how many people bought from you after clicking on an AdWords advertisement?  Now you can.  Google is adding "estimated number of conversions" to the list of metrics available to Google advertisers.

The new metric will track conversions across multiple devices…smartphones, laptops, tablets and desktop computers.

These conversions are only trackable if the consumer is logged into the Google + account.  Prior to this announcement, Google could only measure clicks - the number of people who clicked on your ad.  They couldn't measure how many people actually followed through and purchased from you.

Facebook has offered this metric since January 2013 so Google has been working feverishly to offer advertisers the same information.

Let the games begin.
